Accountant – Logistics & Freight Location: Compton, CA Pay Rate: $26–$32.00 per hour Experience: 2–3 years of accounting experience Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a fast-paced logistics and freight organization in Compton, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of accounting experience, a strong understanding of accounting principles, and previous experience working in the logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry. CargoWise experience is required. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Handle billing, invoicing, and payment-related activities. Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies. Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting. Review and maintain accounting documentation and records. Work closely with operations and logistics teams regarding freight-related transactions. Utilize CargoWise for accounting, billing, and logistics-related processes. Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding invoices, payments, and account issues. Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of financial information. Perform other accounting duties as assigned. Qualifications 2–3 years of accounting experience required. Logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or related industry experience required. CargoWise experience required. Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and account reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
