Job Description

As an Accountant, you will join our Regulatory Returns team, responsible for preparing Duty and Tax requirements, liaising with stakeholders, and driving process improvements in expanding markets.

We are looking for an Accountant to become an integral part of our Regulatory Returns team, responsible for ensuring the ongoing delivery of regulatory reporting requirements in both current and new markets. It will also involve preparing Duty and Tax requirements for regulated markets.  

This is an exciting time to join our team as we expand into new markets. You will be assisting with project work for these new markets, making it a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent organisational skills who can effectively manage their workload.

Qualifications

• AAT Qualified or completing Level 4 AAT.
• Ability to show initiative and grasp new concepts quickly, with excellent attention to detail.
• Well organised with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and looks to make continuous improvements to processes.
• Experience working with high volumes of data.
• Proficiency in Excel functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Project experience is desirable.
• Basic understanding of the gambling industry and an interest in a wide range of sports is desirable.

Additional Information

• Preparing South American Duty Returns.
• Investigating reconciliation variances and liaise with internal departments to resolve these.
• Contributing to project work on existing markets, particularly regarding changes in reporting or the introduction of new products.
• Preparing UK Racing Returns and regulatory reporting, assisting in end-of-year audits.
• Introducing new reports and processes required by the team or business, including requesting and testing these reports.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders on various projects.
• Completing any ad hoc requests from key stakeholders.
