This individual will partner closely with the Controller, FP&A leadership, auditors, and operational teams while contributing to process improvements and ERP transformation efforts. Location: Jacksonville, FL 32256 | 100% Onsite What you will be doing: Support the day-to-day financial activities, cash reports, and cash flow analysis, all tax compliance, reporting, and related footnotes, project accounting and financials, and monthly, quarterly consolidated financial statements of the company, to include public company filings. Develop and implement improved internal audit control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed and support and manage automation of key aspects of payables, reporting-related processes, and some ad-hoc reporting. Implement accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Oversee accounting close processes and reporting. Evaluate accounting processes and systems and implement optimizations. Develop and direct accounting professionals and support staff. Maintain documented system of accounting policies and operations. Manage payment of all accounts payable to ensure on time payment. Manage processing accounts receivable and collection of payments. Maintain cash report, cash flow, and funding balances. Maintain an organized filing system of all accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank statements, account reconciliations, and stock transactions. Prepare and organize monthly financial statements for senior management. Manage the preparation of quarterly/annual financial reports for public company accounting, 10Q and 10K. Assist in the management of budgets and forecasts. Maintain and provide organization of information for audits for external auditors. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, sales tax filings, and reporting. Compliance with all additional legal and regulatory requirements. Required Skills: Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, project/cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation to include project management software. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations. Leadership of finance/accounting team. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. 5 years of experience in field of project/cost accounting. 1-3 years of experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor, or Interested in hearing more?
