Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per year A bit about us: Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function and supporting the organization’s procure-to-pay process from approved purchase request through invoice processing, payment, reconciliation, documentation, and audit support. This position ensures invoices are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with the organization's policies, grant requirements, vendor terms, internal controls, and applicable regulatory expectations. The Manager is responsible for maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals are obtained prior to payment, supporting month-end and year-end close, and strengthening AP workflow controls through effective use of our accounting and purchasing systems. The role requires strong attention to detail, customer service, financial stewardship, confidentiality, and the ability to partner effectively with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Grants, Operations, and department leaders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounts Payable department. This role includes a wide range of duties, from preparing audits and 1099 reporting to general accounting tasks. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely. 2. Prepare and submit 1099 reporting, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. 3. Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors as necessary. 4. Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to improve the efficiency of the Accounts Payable department. 5. Provide accurate and timely financial information to other departments and senior management as required. 6. Manage and mentor a team of Accounts Payable professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. 7. Review and approve all payment requests, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided and correctly authorized. 8. Maintain a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, staying up-to-date with any changes in regulations or practices that could impact the organization. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; equivalent experience will be considered. 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience of AP, accounting, finance operations or procure to pay experience 3. Prior supervisory or team lead experience 4. Strong knowledge of 1099 reporting and audit preparation. 5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate a team. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 8. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 9. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. 10.
