We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This role involves managing a high volume of invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that all financial transactions adhere to our company's policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the company's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of operations and preparing payments for our vendors. This position requires a strong understanding of Accounts Payable, coding invoices, v-look up, Pivot Tables, Microsoft Excel, Accounting Clerk, vendor set-up, debits and credits, Reconciliation, and journal entries. Responsibilities: As a Consulting Accounts Payable Specialist, you will: Process and manage a high volume of invoices with accuracy, ensuring all bills and payments are up-to-date. Collaborate with the finance team to perform monthly and quarterly audits. Apply your knowledge of v-look up and Pivot Tables in Microsoft Excel to analyze and present data effectively. Perform vendor set-ups and maintain vendor files. Handle the reconciliation of the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Use your understanding of debits and credits to verify and post account transactions. Prepare and make adjustments to journal entries. Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and making necessary corrections. Ensure compliance with company policies, rules, and regulations. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or as an Accounting Clerk. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including v-look up and Pivot Tables. Strong experience with coding invoices and vendor set-up. Extensive knowledge of debits and credits, reconciliation, and journal entries. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and vendors effectively.
