Job Title: Cluster Manager – Banca Channel

Department: Bancassurance / Distribution

Reporting To: Regional Manager / Zonal Head

Location: As per assigned cluster

Job Purpose:

To drive insurance sales through assigned bank branches within the cluster by managing relationship with bank partners, leading Banca Sales Managers (BSMs), and achieving revenue & business targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Sales

  • Drive life/health/general insurance sales through mapped bank branches.

  • Achieve cluster premium targets (APE/GWP/NOP as applicable).

  • Increase penetration and productivity per branch.

  • Plan and execute monthly/quarterly sales strategies.

  • Monitor daily sales performance and take corrective actions.

2. Bank Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Cluster Heads, Branch Managers & key bank officials.

  • Conduct regular joint sales calls and customer meetings.

  • Ensure high visibility in bank branches.

  • Resolve partner escalations and service issues.

3. Team Management

  • Lead and manage Banca Sales Managers / Relationship Officers.

  • Recruit, train and mentor sales team members.

  • Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions.

  • Ensure team adherence to compliance and sales processes.

4. Training & Activation

  • Conduct product and sales training for bank staff.

  • Drive activation of newly mapped branches.

  • Implement sales campaigns and incentive programs.

  • Promote cross-sell and upsell initiatives.

5. Compliance & Process Management

  • Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies.

  • Maintain proper documentation and KYC compliance.

  • Monitor persistency and quality of business.

  • Control mis-selling and customer complaints.

6. Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.

  • Analyze branch-wise productivity and revenue trends.

  • Share performance insights with senior management.
