Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for an Administrative & Accounting Assistant to work remote to support an established non-profit in the North Carolina Area. This candidate must reside in North Carolina. This role will support daily accounting operations, HR administration, and general office functions. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across departments, handling confidential information, and providing excellent internal and external support. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Administrative Support Coordinate onboarding for new employees, including initial paperwork and communication with IT and benefits providers Initiate criminal background checks as needed Assist payroll with state Tax ID information and related administrative requests Support HR-related administrative duties as assigned Provide general administrative support to management and staff Accounting Responsibilities Enter payment transactions into accounting systems, including credit cards, ACH payments, wires, Paymode, PayPal, and checks Process credit card transactions and payment activity Send daily revenue reports at the end of each business day Manage recurring revenue collections and past-due accounts through daily emails and follow-up phone calls Edit, void, and combine invoices as needed Send manual credit card payment links for combined invoices Perform sales report reconciliations Respond to requests from departments regarding invoices, payments, and account information Update billing configurations, pricing, and effective dates in the system Maintain and update billing contact information Assist customers with converting payment methods from checks to ACH or credit cards Monitor accounting email inbox and route or respond to requests appropriately Qualifications Previous administrative, accounting, bookkeeping, or office support experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook Experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
