This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with a focus on the construction industry, specifically HVAC and plumbing. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our financial operations, including balance sheet management, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, job costing, billing, and cash flow. You will also be responsible for preparing aging reports, profit and loss statements, and financial statements. This role requires proficiency in Sage Intacct and inventory accounting. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including balance sheet management, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, job costing, and billing. Analyze and present financial data and reports in an accurate and timely manner. Monitor and forecast cash flow, and prepare aging reports. Conduct year-end close process and ensure timely completion. Analyze labor trends and cost data within the HVAC and plumbing industry. Maintain and manage inventory accounting using Sage Intacct. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws. Collaborate with the Controller and other financial team members to implement financial plans for the company. Participate in the development of and support the company's strategic plans. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry. Solid knowledge of balance sheet management, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, job costing, billing, and cash flow. Experience in the HVAC and plumbing industry is a plus. Proficiency in Sage Intacct and inventory accounting. Strong understanding of HVAC MEP and labor trends. Proven experience with year-end close process and financial statement preparation. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
