Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager / Assistant Finance Manager, the incumbent will support several aspects of the following areas:
Perform financial duties in a variety of financial functions including one or more of the following\: Budgeting, Costing, Financial Accounting, Financial Management and Control, General Ledger and Payment, Fixed Assets, Resources Management, ASOI and Donation Management etc.
Support operation of Shroff Office and revenue management, including but not limited to fees collection, refund handling, debt recovery management, reports and journals preparation and handle internal and external enquiries on revenue related issues.
Assist in the preparation of monthly forecast, financial analysis, and presentations for management meetings.
Support financial account closing exercise.
Liaise with department users to resolve operational issues.
Support on the ad-hoc tasks/ projects (e.g. participating in system user acceptance tests and HAHO return).
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal control procedures.
Communicate and liaise with user departments, cluster counterparts and external parties to resolve operational issues.
Supervise and coach junior staff in daily operations.
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Entry Requirements:
1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syl. B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. OR
(b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below:
- Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and
- Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent.
2. 3 years’ clerical experience with good knowledge of the functions and operations in one or more of the following areas:
(a) general administration
(b) filing and records keeping
(c) supplies and stores
(d) human resources
(e) finance, accounting and statistics
(f) data input and analyses
(g) typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing
(h) telephone operation, client communication and reception service
Preferred Attributes / Exposure:
1. Hands-on experience to use HA systems, such as Oracle ERP, BPS, FMMS, HAMIS, BUR, PBRC, OPAS, FCS.
2. Proficiency in common office automation and PC applications (e.g. MS Office, PowerPoint).
3. Candidates with knowledge in database management knowledge (e.g. VBA, SQL) are highly preferred.
4. Good organizing and analytical ability.
5. Ability to organize works and work with tight schedule.
6. Good communication, interpersonal skills and attention to details.
7. Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently.
8. Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
