Position     : Clerk II (Finance)  [For Serving HA Staff Only]
Rank     : Clerk II
Department / Cluster : Finance Division, New Territories East Cluster
Pay     : HK$26,908 to HK$37,590 (HGPS point 9 to 15) per month including Monthly Allowance
 
    Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparation of budget plan, manpower plan, monthly forecast and financial vetting.
  2. Assist in preparation of various management reports and presentation slides.
  3. Supervise junior clerical staff to perform invoice processing, interim and year end closing.
  4. Extract and analyze data from HA hospital systems (e.g. Enterprise Resource Planning System(ERP), Executive Information System(EIS), Annual Plan, Costing).
  5. Support HA systems enhancement and post implementation review.
  6. Perform daily operation and coaching junior clerical staff.
  7. Assist in enhancing internal control system, risk management, process review and streamlining.
  8. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

     

Entry Requirements:

 1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B), Chinese Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. 
 
  OR  
  (b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below:
 
    - Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and
    - Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent.
2. 3 years’ clerical experience with good knowledge of the functions and operations in one or more of the following areas:
  (a) general administration
  (b) filing and records keeping
  (c) supplies and stores
  (d) human resources
  (e) finance, accounting and statistics
  (f) data input and analyses
  (g) typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing
  (h) telephone operation, client communication and reception service

 

 

Preferable Attributes/Exposure:

  1. Holder of qualification in Accounting (e.g. Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCC), Accredited Accounting Technician (AAT), or the student members of the recognized accountancy bodies, etc.)
  2. Knowledge of HA's financial systems (e.g. Patient Billing and Revenue Collection System (PBRC), Human Capital Management System (HCM), Budget Planning System (BPS) ,Oracle System etc.).
  3. Hands-on experience in common office automation (e.g. E-mail, MS Office etc.) and PC applications.
  4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  5. Good communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
  6. Responsible, self-motivated, detailed-minded and able to work independently.
