Job Summary
Working as the Financial Analyst you will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of an acute care, medical system, in Baltimore, MD. You will assist with all the accounting and control functions at the account including all revenue and expense reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly financial reporting requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reports and profitability analysis
- Coordinate and reconcile inter-company commission transactions with Compass
- Prepare accurate and timely Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR)
- Create trending analysis for clients, Sr. Client Services Directors, and internal requests as needed
- Ensure the setup of assigned clients is correct to reduce and/or eliminate order adjustments and inaccurate client reporting
- Provides accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual project
- Provides financial guidance to operating units within the region on matters involving client returns, revenue and profitability goals
- Creates and designs reports and spreadsheets; creates and maintains a database to organize, collect and upload data into required reporting formats
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field required
- One (1) year preferred, two (2) years strongly preferred, of general ledger, financial reporting, financial analysis, and auditing experience
- Strong relational database and/or enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) skills required.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; advanced proficiency preferred
- Excellent time management skills required; flexibility in schedule to accommodate deadlines as needed
- Requires very high skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with little direction
- Must understand financial implications of business decisions and be able to quantify those implications
- SAP and/or J.D Edwards or equivalent software preferred
- Knowledge of MS Access databases preferred
