This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving organization where you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our financial and accounting operations. The right candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a strong understanding of business operations, who can provide financial insights to guide strategic decisions. Responsibilities: As a Director of Finance and Accounting, you will be an integral part of our leadership team, responsible for the overall management and direction of our financial and accounting functions. Your key responsibilities will include: 1. Overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions. 2. Managing cash flow and preparing monthly financial reports and statements. 3. Utilizing SAGE, Salesforce, and Navison to streamline and automate financial processes. 4. Providing financial insights to guide strategic decisions, helping the organization to achieve its financial goals. 5. Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. 6. Preparing and submitting 990 forms and other regulatory filings. 7. Collaborating with other department heads to align financial management with overall business strategy. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong financial acumen, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The qualifications for the role include: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level financial or accounting role in a nonprofit environment. 2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required. Additional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA are preferred. 3. Proven experience in managing accounting operations, cash flow, and monthly reporting. 4. Proficiency in using financial software such as SAGE, Salesforce, and Navison. 5. Experience in providing financial insights and guiding strategic decisions. 6. Knowledge of financial regulations and standards, including experience in preparing and submitting 990 forms. 7. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders. 8. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential financial issues and devise effective solutions.
