Job Description
Virginia Peninsula Community College is a two-year institution of higher education established as a part of a statewide system of community colleges. It primarily serves the residents of the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, and Williamsburg, and the counties of James City and York. Virginia Peninsula Community College changes lives, empowers students to succeed, and enhances the social and economic vitality of the region through high-quality education and workforce training, excellent service, and innovative partnerships. * This is a full-time restricted classified position and is open until filled. Continuation of employment is based on funding availability. * The Financial Aid Liaison specializing in Pell Grant support is responsible for assisting Pell-eligible students throughout the financial aid process, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance to access and maintain their federal financial aid. This position focuses on providing personalized support, improving student retention, and enhancing financial literacy among Pell Grant recipients.
Work Schedule
M-F: 8 am to 5 pm. Hours may vary based on weekends and evening events (may be required).
