Senior Manager – Financial Integration & Regulatory Reporting

We are seeking an experienced senior finance leader to play a critical, hands‑on role leading financial integration and APRA regulatory reporting through a mutual bank merger.
This is a senior contract opportunity for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in complex integration environments, enjoys getting into the detail, and has deep experience in financial and regulatory reporting within APRA‑regulated institutions.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Manager – Financial Integration & Regulatory Reporting will play a key role in planning, integration, and delivery of financial and regulatory reporting across merging banking entities, while ensuring core finance functions continue to operate seamlessly.
This role has a strong execution focus. You will work closely with a small specialist team and coordinate across the wider finance function to ensure Day 1 readiness, regulatory continuity, and high‑quality reporting throughout the integration period.
The position is initially offered as a 6–12 month contract, with the potential scope evolving depending on merger outcomes and future integration phases.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the financial integration of accounting policies, reporting frameworks, systems, and data across merging entities
- Plan, integrate, and deliver APRA ADI regulatory reporting during and post‑merger
- Oversee ongoing prudential, statutory, and regulatory reporting (APRA, ASIC, ATO, ABS, RBA)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, prudential requirements, and governance frameworks throughout the transition
- Provide strategic financial advice, modelling, and risk insight to executive leadership
- Work hands‑on with a small finance team to maintain reporting accuracy, timeliness, and control integrity
- Engage confidently with auditors, regulators, executives, and key internal stakeholders
About you
You are a senior finance professional with demonstrated experience operating in APRA‑regulated environments, ideally within mutual banks, credit unions, or similar financial institutions.
You bring:
- Senior finance leadership experience (Head of Finance, Deputy CFO, CFO, senior manager or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading or advising on financial integration, mergers, or major change programs
- Strong expertise in APRA regulatory reporting and prudential requirements
- Deep understanding of statutory financial reporting and governance obligations
- A practical, hands‑on approach with the ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity
- CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent)
Desirable experience
- Experience with TechnologyOne, Ultracs / DataAction, or similar banking and finance platforms
- Direct involvement in regulatory reporting integration or system alignment projects
