This role will oversee customs entry processes, manage a team of customs professionals, and serve as a key resource for import compliance and client service initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess an active Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification, strong leadership experience, and a deep understanding of customs regulations, import operations, and international trade compliance. This exciting role involves overseeing the smooth and lawful execution of all import activities within the organization. The successful candidate will manage and direct all aspects of import operations, including compliance with Customs Border Protection (CBP) regulations and other government agencies such as the FDA, USDA, and EPA. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the import operations of a leading player in the Manufacturing industry. Responsibilities: 1. Oversee all aspects of the import process in compliance with CBP regulations and other government agency rules and regulations. 2. Ensure adherence to CBP regulations and other government agency requirements. 3. Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties. 4. Develop and implement import strategies and procedures to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 5. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and compliance with import laws and regulations. 6. Handle customs audits and provide necessary documentation. 7. Stay abreast of changes in import laws and regulations and communicate any changes or updates to the relevant parties within the organization. 8. Lead and manage a team of import professionals, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure high performance and compliance. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in import management or a related role within the Manufacturing industry. 3. Extensive knowledge of CBP regulations and compliance requirements. 4. Experience working with other government agencies such as the FDA, USDA, and EPA. 5. Proven experience in freight forwarding and managing relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders. 6. Excellent leadership and team management skills. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 8. Proficiency in using import-related software and systems. 9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 10. Ability to handle customs audits and provide necessary documentation. 11. Proven ability to develop and implement import strategies and procedures. 12. Ability to stay updated with changes in import laws and regulations and communicate the same to the team. 13.
