Mortgage Secondary Market Trader

Location : On site at location listed in job posting. Summary : Key member of the Mortgage Secondary Marketing team within First Horizon Bank and will be responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the hedging of the mortgage secondary pipeline. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : • Manages and analyzes the mortgage secondary pipeline and executes hedging and pool trading transactions • Manages and monitors hedge performance by reviewing reports to mitigate risk while providing accurate data • Utilizes advanced analytic and modeling skills to support secondary marketing functions around loan pricing and fallout • Assist with mortgage valuation analytics, report development, testing and feedback • Complies with bank policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and investor guidelines • Establishes and maintains secondary market investor and dealer relationships • Performs all other duties as assigned Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position: Bachelor (4-year college) degree and 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated experience with trading and hedging techniques. Advanced understanding and application of risk management and operational risk. Advanced modeling, spreadsheet, and database skills. High attention to detail and excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
