This individual will act as the Plant Manager's financial partner, providing analysis and recommendations to support strategic objectives while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage all plant COGS spending and departmental budgets Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting with supporting analysis and documentation Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and inventory sub-ledgers, including aging analyses, inventory reserves, and unvouchered accounts payable Maintain and review product cost standards, including labor and overhead rates Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements to safeguard company assets Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process for the plant Lead monthly forecasting activities in partnership with plant leadership to evaluate performance and update financial projections Manage monthly reporting and analysis of plant capital expenditures Track and analyze costs associated with strategic initiatives and improvement projects Support efforts to improve working capital performance Analyze manufacturing variances, including labor, usage, and inventory adjustments, while identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiencies Partner closely with inventory control teams to ensure adherence to cycle count procedures and timely recording of variances Collaborate with operations leaders to identify profit improvement and cost reduction initiatives Support the Shared Services finance organization as needed Review plant P&L results and provide meaningful insights into variances compared to budget, forecast, and prior-year performance Lead year-end financial activities and coordinate with external auditors Develop financial analyses and valuations supporting continuous productivity initiatives Present monthly plant financial performance and key metrics to leadership Participate in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA and/or MBA preferred 5–10 years of accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment required Consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience strongly preferred, with food and beverage experience viewed as a plus Strong background in cost accounting and standard product costing Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP and internal controls Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing finance processes Ability to translate financial data into actionable operational insights Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively across all levels of the organization Proven ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Interested in hearing more?
