Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year A bit about us: We are partnering with a growing, well established food manufacturing company that is looking to add a Plant Controller to its Atlanta team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the plant, partnering with operations, improving processes, and having real visibility with senior leadership. The company is performing very well, with earnings growing year over year, and this plant has received significant investment in recent years. This is not a VP or CFO level role. The ideal candidate is a hands on Plant Controller or strong manufacturing finance leader who understands plant accounting, inventory, cost accounting, and operational partnership. Why join us? Company is performing well with strong year over year growth Largest plant in the organization Significant recent investment in the facility Great location in Atlanta, only about 10 minutes from the airport High visibility monthly reviews with the CEO and senior leadership Strong team environment where people work well together Smooth and structured 3 day close process Opportunity to improve inventory, cycle accounting, and plant processes Potential to grow into a broader regional role over time Onsite role, but with real flexibility for family needs, appointments, kids’ activities, etc.- Competitive base and overall compensation package Growth Opportunities & High Visibility role Generous vacation, sick, and paid holidays Life Insurance coverage 401 (K) with generous company match Full benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Job Details What you’ll be doing Own plant financials, close, reporting, and analysis Lead inventory accounting, cycle counts, and variance analysis Partner closely with the Plant Manager and operations leadership Present monthly financial reviews to senior leadership Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting Support planned projects, process improvements, and future equipment investments Work cross functionally with operations, finance, production, and leadership teams Help drive accountability, accuracy, and better business decisions at the plant level What we’re looking for 5 to 10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing plant environment Plant Controller experience strongly preferred Senior Cost Accountant or Cost Accounting Manager experience may be considered if the person is ready to step up Food and beverage, CPG, or consumer goods manufacturing experience preferred Strong cost accounting, inventory, cycle count, and variance analysis experience Ability to work independently without heavy micromanagement Strong presentation and communication skills Confidence working with operations and getting buy in from other departments Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to improve processes and take ownership This is a strong fit for someone who wants stability, visibility, flexibility, and the ability to make a meaningful impact at the plant level.
