Bilingual Senior Project Manager
Reporting to the Senior Manager, PMO Complex Solution within the Rogers Business Service Delivery organization, the Senior Project Manager will occupy a critical position responsible for the overall successful execution of projects for Rogers Business customers. The Senior Project Manager will work with internal stakeholders as well as external vendor partners throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Project Manager will also assist the Rogers Business Sales team as required to understand the scope and importance of commitments to Rogers Business customers. This position involves direct contact with clients.
This is a hybrid position.
What you will do:
- Accountable for the planning and successful delivery of large, complex, cross functional projects on-time, within scope and budget.
- Overall management of the relationship with the end client throughout the entire project lifecycle, acting as the main point of contact between them and Rogers Business’ vendor partners.
- Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
- Management of the contractual relationship between the client and Rogers Business vendor Partners.
- Manage vendor resource planning and address resources performance issues.
- Establish the processes to support delivery operational excellence. This includes project initiation in the delivery system, defining the project calendar and work breakdown structure, and defining deliverable acceptance and reporting procedures. Project initiation also includes validating scope, conducting project kickoff and holding Conditions of Satisfaction (COS) discussions with stakeholders.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation tracking of all tasks, dependencies and deliverables, including Project Charter, Project Plan, Issue and Action Log, Risk Management Plan, Communication Plan, Status reports.
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks and produce program reports for Senior Management and stakeholders.
- Sets and continually manages project expectations while appropriately delegating and managing deliverables with engagement, development and testing teams.
- Define in advance the acceptance criteria for each project deliverable, works with the team to establish delivery dates for each deliverable, and oversee the review of client deliverables to ensure they meet all client acceptance criteria, securing sign-off on each deliverable as defined in the SOW.
- Ensure the services delivered by the vendor conform to what has been contractually agreed to between the client and the vendor, and monitoring the delivery of said services against the agreed to schedule, quality, scope and budget.
- Closely manages all changes to project scope, schedule and cost.
- Manage the financial aspects of the contract (billing for services, following-up on payments, etc).
- Review and approves consultant and partner billable hours and expenses each week, and review and approve client invoices before they are sent.
- Act as the escalation point when issues arise with vendor’s resources / services and manage any dispute or conflict.
- Track and report the performance of the engagement, the quality of project deliverables and reports on the effectiveness of the engagement against the baseline plan leveraging Project Management methodology, tools & templates.
- Conduct executive level briefings &/or escalations.
- Builds his/her time into engagements as appropriate to allow for mitigation of engagement risk and to achieve the required level of billable utilization set by the business.
- Develop strong, positive cross organization relationships with internal groups to include industry units, account teams, and product groups, as well as with vendor partners and customers.
- Works creatively, collaboratively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
What you bring:
- 10+ years of project management experience delivering large, complex projects, preferably in the telecommunications industry
- Expert knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills
- Solid conflict resolution, risk management and time management skills
- Experience managing large scale projects and programs
- Outcome oriented
- Executive stakeholder mgmt. experience
- Extraordinary organizational savvy with exceptional partnering skills and good relationships across all functions.
- Proven change leader.
- Knowledgeable of industry and related trends.
- Excellent customer facing skills
- Entrepreneurial, highly motivated and adaptable
- French spoken and written required to communicate with our clients
- Exceptional ability to persuade, convince, negotiate with influence to support objectives
- PMP certification is required
