This role is integral to our financial operations and requires a professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and ledger management. As a Senior Development Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of our Real Estate Development projects, analyzing financial data, preparing monthly reports, and making recommendations based on your findings. Oversee and manage the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest financial standards. 2. Prepare and present monthly financial reports, detailing project costs, profitability, and financial forecasts. 3. Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. 4. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and financial plans for Real Estate projects. 5. Analyze financial data and make recommendations to improve profitability and cost-efficiency. 6. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and company policies. 7. Provide financial advice and guidance to the management team, assisting in strategic planning and decision making. 8. Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts. 9. Coordinate with external auditors to carry out an annual audit. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or a professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred. 2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the construction industry. 3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. 4. Proficiency in managing and maintaining a general ledger. 5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. 6. Strong knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. 7. Proficient in using accounting software and other industry-related financial tools. 8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner. 9.
