The Senior Accountant performs professional and highly technical accounting and analysis duties in the areas of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management; provides assistance and guidance on accounting policies and procedures; and ensures the integrity and accuracy of the city's reporting and budgeting functions and the safeguard of city assets. This senior-level position is also responsible for leading, managing, and directing finance staff to include training, motivation, program/project and work performance evaluation and review. This is a supervisory position.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Experience
Five (5) years of accounting or finance experience or equivalent combination.

Anticipated Hiring Wage: Depends on qualifications, but position is budgeted between $86,548 - $101,000 and will receive a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) in July 2025.
