Senior Staff Accountant (Temporary Assignment) Location Irving, Texas | Onsite COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE * $45-$50 per hour (based on experience) * Full-time, Monday-Friday * Temporary assignment through November * Start Date: ASAP ROLE IMPACT The Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting critical accounting operations during a high-impact period. This position ensures accuracy across lease accounting, inventory, and revenue streams while maintaining strong financial controls. Success in this role means delivering clean month-end closes, accurate reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting that leadership can trust. Responsibilities * Manage ASC 842 lease accounting, including accurate tracking and reporting of lease activity * Post and review rent activity to ensure proper recognition and compliance * Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate cost tracking and valuation * Perform store sales accounting and revenue reconciliations * Handle property tax accounting and related entries * Manage gift card program accounting and liability tracking * Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity * Lead and support month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met * Conduct detailed P&L reviews to identify variances and trends * Prepare and post accruals and adjusting journal entries * Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies * Ensure strict adherence to debits and credits and overall GAAP compliance Minimum Qualifications * 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience * Strong hands-on experience with general ledger, month-end close, and reconciliations * Solid understanding of debits, credits, and GAAP principles Preferred Skills * Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting * Background in retail, multi-location, or inventory-driven environments * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
