Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Location: Grapevine, TX - Onsite Employment Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 annually CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Staff Accountant for a construction client in the Grapevine, TX area. This role is responsible for daily accounting operations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate records across multiple business entities. This Staff Accountant role offers broad accounting responsibility across multiple entities, including month-end close, financial statement preparation, job cost accounting, and general ledger reconciliations. You will work closely with the Controller while independently managing key day-to-day accounting functions. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and annual 1099 reporting Maintain job cost records and review project-related accounting activity Prepare journal entries, prepaid expense schedules, and general ledger reconciliations Support month-end close and prepare financial statements with supporting schedules Assist with construction loan draw requests, department operations, and special projects Qualifications 3 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close Job cost accounting or multi-entity accounting experience preferred Construction, homebuilding, real estate development, or contracting industry experience is a plus Experience with accounting or ERP software; Trimble Spectrum experience is a plus Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Outlook and Windows-based programs Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines High school diploma or GED required Why Candidates Like This Role Competitive compensation and benefits Career growth opportunity Direct collaboration with the Controller Broad exposure to multiple accounting functions Stable and collaborative work environment High-visibility impact on financial reporting and business operations Additional Details Schedule: Full-time, onsite in Grapevine, TX Benefits: Competitive benefits package Travel Requirements: No travel required
