This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage and supervise a wide range of tax-related activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax planning, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local tax laws. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in both public accounting and private companies, with a deep understanding of corporate tax, state and local tax, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, tax exempt, and individuals. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, individual, and trust federal and state income tax returns. Supervise and review the preparation of quarterly estimated tax payments and tax projections. Manage and coordinate tax audits. Provide innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients; manage to budget. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively. Consult, work with, and service client base to make recommendations on business and process improvement. Identify and mitigate tax risks. Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance. Manage tax provision and tax compliance process. Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices. Ensure all tax regulations are followed within the company. Assist with tax exempt issues as needed. Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a public accountingrole. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required. In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns. Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships. Strong leadership and personnel management skills. Analytical skills with detail orientation. Previous experience with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships. Prior experience with tax provisions preferred. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. ProSystem fx Tax). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with great accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management. Strong research and analytical skills.
