Technical Business Development Manager

Our Brea, CA business unit is looking for a Technical Business Development Manager to join their team to assist nuclear new build pursuits! As a member of the sales team, you will evaluate, recommend and manage strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships, and/or alliances. You will conduct and oversee market analysis, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs. You may also provide leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementation of strategic business objectives.

Location: Brea, CA

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000

Your Challenge:

  • Oversee technical aspects of customer RFP/RFI responses, collaborating with the team to develop budgetary and firm price proposals, incorporating application engineering as needed. demands.

  • Review detailed specifications, technical drawings, schematics, and reports to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

  • Draft technically robust proposals utilizing Curtiss-Wright’s engineering resources.

  • Maintain and update a tracker of opportunities, projects, and prospects for management oversight.

  • Analyze customer designs, specifications, and manuals to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance needs of proposed solutions.

  • Evaluate processes to identify optimal equipment applications.

  • Specify system components or modify products to meet engineering design and performance standards.

  • Support structural product design and relay customer feedback to design engineers.

  • Contribute to sales strategy development to boost product sales.

  • Engage directly with customers in a technical role to drive new sales opportunities.

  • Generate high-level sales forecasts using market intelligence, trends, and customer insights.

  • Identify new product line opportunities and potential teaming partners based on market

What You Bring:

  • 5-8 years of commercial nuclear, technical valve, or actuator sales experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or other related technical discipline from an accredited institution.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and within tight deadlines.

  • Excellent presentation, verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines.

  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
