Job Title: Accountant (SAICA Articles + 2 Years Post Experience / AGSA)
Location: Sandton

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team based in Sandton, Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have completed SAICA articles and possess at least two years of post-article experience or have experience working with AGSA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity and growth of the organization while working in a fast-paced and professional environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts
  • Perform full financial accounting function up to trial balance and/or financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Manage general ledger, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Handle audit processes and liaise with external and internal auditors
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury functions
  • Review and improve internal controls and financial processes
  • Support senior management with financial reporting and analysis
  • Assist with year-end financial statements and reporting packs
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
  • BCom Degree, Accounting Degree, or relevant Finance Diploma
  • Completed SAICA articles (essential)
  • Minimum of 2 years post-articles experience OR experience working with AGSA
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
