Ready to take ownership of an offshore entity and clean up the books like a financial pro? If you’re an Accountant who enjoys fixing, building and streamlining, this role puts you in the driver’s seat of a Mauritius-based portfolio from Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

Our client is a dynamic investment group spanning automotive and property, based in Cape Town and operating across borders. They’re looking for an Accountant to take full ownership of the Mauritius entity’s finance function, reporting directly to the CEO. This isn’t a “keep things ticking” role. it’s a roll-up-your-sleeves, fix-and-build opportunity. You’ll step into a clean-up project, bring structure to the numbers, implement better processes and create a finance function that runs efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of the full finance function for the Mauritius entity
  • Clean up and reconcile historical financials
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Manage journals, reconciliations and general ledger integrity
  • Implement improved processes, controls and reporting structures
  • Streamline workflows and enhance financial efficiency
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Partner directly with the CEO on financial insights and decision-making
Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3+ years’ accounting experience
  • Proven experience in clean-up projects, implementations or process improvements
  • Strong understanding of the full finance function
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solution-driven mindset
