Beyond Talent has been engaged on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join the finance team of a stable and well established local business, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our transactional processes and month-end close.

About the Role

As Bookkeeper, you'll take ownership of day-to-day transactional duties while also providing key support during month-end, working confidently up to trial balance. This role offers variety and responsibility, and would suit someone who thrives in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconciling bank and supplier statements
• Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Maintaining the general ledger and producing trial balance reports
• Supporting VAT returns and other compliance activities
• Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders where necessary

Please apply now if you have:

• Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance role
• Solid understanding of transactional accounting and month-end procedures
• Confidence in working up to trial balance
• AAT qualification (or working towards) preferred, but not essential
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
