Pay : $12 - $16.00/ hr Duration: 09 Months (Onsite - Role) - (Extension based on performance) Legal Support: This role is for a Non-Attorney Legal Support Staff contractor to provide comprehensive legal support. The individual will handle varied work requests, administer defined procedures, analyze and prepare reports, and assist with data extraction of legal documents. The role requires a strong focus on compliance, ethical judgment, and effective risk assessment while safeguarding the firm's reputation and client assets. Responsibilities Perform legal support related to legal operations, technology, budget/expenses, risk/controls, litigation/discovery/settlements, or administration. Handle diverse work requests from multiple sources, which may be complex and subject to tight deadlines. Administer defined procedures, conduct analysis, and prepare reports, with work thoroughly reviewed by a more senior incumbent. Assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding clients, and assets. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhere to policy, and apply sound ethical judgment in personal behavior, conduct, and business practices. Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency. Extract data from legal documents. Experience and Qualifications Experience working in a corporate legal department, law firm, financial services, consulting, technology firm, or a related industry. Knowledge of legal customs and practices. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other applications, including PDF files. Demonstrated attention to detail. Experience working with legal documents.
