JOB DETAILS:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance and Reconciliation Officer to oversee financial reconciliation processes, ensure accuracy in financial records, and support overall financial operations.
  • The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting decision-making through accurate data management.

Key Responsibilities
Reconciliation:

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of accounts, including bank accounts, ledger entries, and payment systems.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all financial records.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit regular reconciliation reports to management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations.
  • Assist in generating financial statements and audit schedules.

Transaction Monitoring:

  • Monitor and verify financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all reconciled items.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies in reconciliation processes and propose solutions to enhance accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement best practices in financial operations.

Support Financial Operations:

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring reconciliations are completed and discrepancies resolved.
  • Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to maintain general ledger accuracy.

Compliance and Audits:

  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate and up-to-date reconciliation records.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAN) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in reconciliation, accounting, or finance-related roles.
  • Experience with financial software and reconciliation tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Bank-one, PowerBI, SQL).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and patterns.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving reconciliation and financial issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
