Financial controller

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, preparation of financial statements, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.

• Maintain a unified operational financial reporting and monthly management reporting system and principles
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Perform financial calculations and prepare various reports for management
• Collaborate with business unit managers to support them in preparing financial statements, reports, and data analysis
• Analyze financial indicators and performance data, provide insights
• Coordinate related-party transactions and oversee their financial and accounting records
• Participate in budget preparation and monitoring, as well as other financial processes and controls
• Participate in the development, implementation, and improvement of financial control processes and procedures
• Monitor the accuracy of financial data in credit systems, resolve discrepancies between system data and accounting/financial reports
• Coordinate financial audit processes and provide necessary information to auditors

• A university degree in finance, accounting or economics, ACCA qualification (or progress towards it) will be considered as an advantage 
• Experience in a financial controller/analyst role, preferably in financial services industry 
• Understanding of auditing, consolidation, and knowledge of IFRS 
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel 
• Strong knowledge of Latvian financial regulations and accounting standards 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills 
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 
• Fluent English skills 
• Experience working with the Bank of Latvia regulated company or audit experience of such company will be considered as an advantage
