Description: A well-established nonprofit organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to grow within a mission-driven organization while supporting a wide range of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounts payable experience, excellent analytical skills, and knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounts payable processing using accounting software Analyze, code, and process vendor invoices for payment Maintain positive relationships with vendors and resolve payment inquiries Prepare and process journal entries Reconcile credit card transactions and accounts Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and grant compliance Prepare and file 1099 forms Support additional accounting and financial operations functions as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required CPA designation is a plus Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience required Knowledge of general accounting principles and nonprofit accounting procedures Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFS Experience with financial software applications; Financial Edge experience preferred Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to expand their experience in accounts payable, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and nonprofit finance operations within a collaborative environment.
