Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Product Controller with a strong Accounting and Finance background to support a global trading business. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting traded financial products and possess a deep understanding of General Ledger accounting, P&L analysis, month-end close, and financial controls. This role is best suited for professionals who understand how trading transactions flow through the accounting lifecycle and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with internal accounting policies and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and validate accounting entries generated from daily trading activities. Ensure trading transactions are accurately recorded and posted to the General Ledger (GL). Perform daily and monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) analysis, attribution, and explain. Review and substantiate balance sheet accounts supporting trading businesses. Prepare and review journal entries related to traded financial products. Apply accounting policies to complex financial instruments while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS). Support month-end and year-end financial close activities. Maintain strong accounting controls and governance over trading activities. Partner closely with Front Office, Risk Management, Treasury, Operations, and Financial Reporting teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes. Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred. Proven experience in Product Control supporting trading businesses. Strong understanding of accounting principles and General Ledger processes. Experience with journal entries, balance sheet substantiation, and month-end close. Hands-on experience supporting one or more traded products, including: Fixed Income Equities Derivatives Foreign Exchange (FX) Commodities Strong knowledge of financial instruments and accounting treatment. Experience working with accounting policies and financial control frameworks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
