Position: Vendor Relations Specialist Location: Agawam, Massachusetts-100% Onsite Duration: Contract Pay Rate: $21.63–$26.44/hour Schedule: 20–25 hours per week Job ID: 177937 Job Overview: The Vendor Relations Specialist is responsible for managing relationships between the organization and its suppliers to support operational efficiency and cost-effective service delivery. This role oversees vendor communication, contract administration, supplier performance tracking, issue resolution, and financial coordination while ensuring compliance with company standards. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and suppliers. Coordinate vendor onboarding, training, and ongoing communications. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships. Support negotiation of pricing, contract terms, and service agreements. Help secure competitive value while maintaining service quality. Track vendor performance metrics, including service levels, delivery timelines, and quality standards. Conduct regular supplier evaluations and communicate improvement opportunities. Partner with internal teams, including Finance and Operations, to resolve billing discrepancies, service concerns, and delivery issues. Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors. Ensure vendor adherence to company policies and compliance requirements. Assist with invoice processing and payment reconciliation activities. Prepare reports related to vendor spending and performance trends. Conduct market analysis to identify potential cost savings and process improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, supplier relations, customer support, or related fields. Strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience working with ERP platforms and/or Vendor Management Systems (VMS) preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
